Tips On How To Manage Time

Time management is essential in your daily life. This is to be successful especially in your professional career. That is why; time management techniques should be implemented properly to prevent work hassles.

Keep in mind that time is always ticking and you cannot stop it. However, you can manage it correctly. Time management tips can help you have a steady flow of work and even an extra time for your family to bond together. Here are some effective tips to manage your time and be successful. Read on.

Tip #1 Create a Plan

Creating a plan is a good time management tips. Review the not ideal things you do at present and revise it. A good example here is going to work late. All you have to do is to sleep and wake up early. In this way, you still have time to prepare your breakfast, clothes to wear and go to work at an earlier time.

Practice these routines until you are able to do it without thinking of the things you will do ahead. Remember not to speed up. This will only make things worse. Although time is of the essence, it is best to prepare it carefully.

Tip #2 Create a To-do list

To-do lists are just like listing down your needs. Meaning, it is like you are shopping in the market with your check lists. Make sure that your lists are properly numbered so as not to confuse you from what you will do first and what will be the next.

Tip #3 Create a system

Work on your system and carefully check if it is applicable. Keep in mind that your time management techniques should have a perfect plan to make your system definitely work.

This will only mean that your objective should also have a goal and your goal should be attained.

Tip #4 Be Productive

One of the best time management tips that you have to apply is to be productive.
As you know, time is of the essence so do not waste your time on the things you do. For instance, you have done all your chores at home and there is still extra time. You can go to your garden and tend the plants or you can cook a sumptuous meal for your family.

Tip #5 Be Competitive

Being competitive is also one of the great time management techniques. Again, time is of the essence but do not forget that it is not necessary to compromise your competitiveness. Let the people know that you are able to do things in a competitive way and with faster results.

Tip #6 Be Disciplined

Discipline yourself in managing your time. Although you can still do what you want, you should remember that it will only reflect in the things you will do. You should have rules for yourself and be strict in a positive manner.

Follow these time management tips and be successful in life. Remember, time should be your friend and not your enemy.

Effective Time Management Skills – Why It Is Better To Manage Your Time Than Not To

My car had gotten to the point that it disgusted me. It was filthy. Not just the outside, but the inside as well. I had shaken out the mats several times over the past few weeks and now the dirt was just filling up my floorboard. There was trash everywhere and it was just disgusting. The Dust that settled on the dash was thick and gross.

This really isn’t like me to drive a dirty car. I love my car and usually I wash it at least once a week. I take and rub down all the leather with armor all, and put that tire shine stuff on to make it really look great. Over the past 4 weeks though I haven’t washed my car one time. Today when I finally got disgusted I took it to the $15 car wash, then I spent an hour and a half vacuuming it out. I wiped down every surface, cleaned behind everything. I shook out my mats and scrubbed them clean. I worked really hard on this project.

Normally I am fine with the $5 wash and I can vacuum it in 15 minutes. That’s the problem with procrastination. When we put off the things we are supposed to be doing we compound our problems. There was more to it than just driving around a filthy ride, but it took me a lot more time to clean it that it would have if I had just followed my normal maintenance routine. If I had just taken care of things as they came a long I wouldn’t have had to take half my morning to get it right. I was playing catch up and that has left me nothing but frustrated.

Yesterday in my blog I talked about “doing HARD things”. Today the thought is more about doing the small things without putting them off. Keep this idea in mind as you go through your day. Our life just becomes more and more difficult when we put things off.
Sometimes it is best to just go ahead and get things out of the way while they are still small problems. Don’t procrastinate until your life is out of hand and you can write your name in the dust that is on your to do list. Go for it now, tackle life head on but in small pieces.

Altman's Z score for credit risk

Rating: 4

Altman’s Z is the most famous type of linear discriminant model: borrowers are classified into high or low default risk categories. It does not directly give a probability of default (PD), although we can map to the score to a credit rating and map the rating to a PD (so there is an indirect path from the score to the PD). Four drawbacks: 1. Not granular: only gives default/zone of ignorance/no default; 2. Constant factor weights (ie, factor weights may be time varying); 3. Only considers five fundamental variables, ignores other variables; 4. No centralized database on defaulted business loans (not really an Altman’s critique at all)

How To Manage Time And Attendance

Time and attendance are two words that often generate concern from those who manage people. How can employers best deal with absence while still maintaining their duty of care?
First things first, managers need to know exactly how much time off their staff are taking. A way for managers to better keep track of their staff’s absence rates is through using time and attendance software. This technology allows managers to enter an absence in a central system on the first day and asks the employee to close – or self-certify – the absence afterwards.
Data can easily be extracted from the software which can be used to let the payroll team know whether sick pay is due and highlight any worrying patterns to managers or HR staff.
An added bonus is that other absences can be booked through these systems: holiday, compassionate leave, hospital appointments, training and exams, which can then be incorporated into an automatically generated team calendar.
once a system is in place to record attendance, it is essential that employers draw up and issue an absence policy. Decide on the self-certification period but make it clear that this is not an entitlement to a few days off every month. Some companies allow as much as five days’ absence without a doctor’s certificate and this is easily misinterpreted.
Make sure that a process is in place and publicized to all staff regarding the reporting of absence. Who should they ring and by what time?
Ensure that work start and end times at stated in every employee’s contract of employment and refer to the absence policy.
If you have decided that payment for absence commences after a set period of employment, ensure this is stated clearly, too.
For those who have been absent, set up a return to work interview. This is predominantly used to ensure the individual is fit enough to recommence their duties and not likely to contaminate their colleagues. However, in some cases, it can serve as a method to discourage unnecessary absence; some employees won’t want the one to one meeting with their manager.
For persistent offenders, try to get to the root cause of the problem. It might be that they are stressed about their work load, worried about an error or simply have childcare issues; all of which can be addressed.
